Frequently Asked Questions

What to Know about your Appointment…

I understand that meeting with a new therapist can be a nerve-wracking experience. Whether this is your first time meeting with a therapist, or you are an experienced client, I operate under a “come-as-you-are” policy. There is no need to worry about the way that you look, or how chatty or shy you are feeling that day. My office is a judgment-free zone and I will always meet you exactly as you are when we meet.

How do Telehealth Appointments Work?

Telehealth is a great connecter! Telehealth appointments meet for 50 minutes over zoom. I will always be in a confidential space for our meetings, and I ask that you are in a private space in which you feel comfortable sharing. Please be willing to have your camera on and microphone unmuted.

Do we have to meet for 50 minutes?

I understand that 50 minutes of meeting can feel overwhelming. My session rate remains the same whether or not you decide to use the full 50 minutes.

Can I bring anyone to my appointment?

It can be intimidating to go somewhere new for the first time alone! You are more than welcome to bring a parent/guardian or support figure to your appointment. They may join us in the room for our first sessions or wait in the office.

Can I bring my pet?

Service animals are welcome in the office. Please let us know beforehand if you are bringing a service animal.
